Dr. Prasad specializes in chronic and interventional pain medicine. Originally from Las Vegas, she received her undergraduate degree in Hispanic Studies from University of Pennsylvania. After completing her bachelor’s degree, she spent a year abroad in Spain and is fluent in Spanish. Dr. Prasad received her medical degree from University of Miami and completed her Anesthesiology residency and Chronic Pain fellowship at University of California San Diego. She also earned a Master’s in Public Health with a focus in healthcare management from Columbia University.

Dr. Prasad is experienced in treating many different chronic pain conditions, such as neck and back pain, joint and musculoskeletal pain, neuropathic pain, and postsurgical pain. She believes in a multimodal approach to pain management that incorporates interventional techniques, non-opioid pain medications as well as physical, psychological and alternative medicine therapies. She performs a wide variety of fluoroscopy and ultrasound-guided procedures, including epidural steroid injections, nerve blocks and ablations, joint injections and spinal cord stimulation. Dr. Prasad values establishing meaningful physician-patient relationships and is passionate about helping patients improve their quality of life.

In her free time, Dr. Prasad enjoys traveling, going to concerts, hiking with her two dogs, and spending time with her husband, family, and friends.
