Christopher Bo, MD

Dr. Bo is a board-certified physiatrist with subspecialty training in Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) Medicine. He is one of the only fellowship-trained physiatrists in Southern California who specializes in SCI. He works full time in the Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU) at Tri-City Medical Center in Oceanside, CA and has clinic at The Neurology Center in Carlsbad on Friday afternoons.

For individuals living with SCI, Dr. Bo is able to help with:

  • Autonomic Dysreflexia (AD)
  • Spasticity Management
  • Sexual function and fertility
  • Adaptive sports and exercise
  • Bone health
  • Pressure sores
  • Prescriptions for manual/motorized wheelchairs and other durable medical equipment (DME)
  • Referrals to physical, occupational, and speech therapists specializing in neurorehabilitation
  • Health maintenance and preventing hospitalization

Originally from New Jersey, Dr. Bo received his medical degree from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. He completed residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School/Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation, including a chief residency, and fellowship in Spinal Cord Injury Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
