Katie Hermanson was born and raised in Tampa, Florida. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a concentration in neuroscience from Duke University. After graduation, she worked as a clinical research assistant within the department of Urology at Duke University Medical Center where she worked closely with patients enrolled in various prostate cancer research studies. Wanting to play a more integral role in patient care, she entered the Duke University Physician Assistant Program where she graduated with honors and was inducted into the Pi Alpha Honor Society. Katie worked as a physician assistant in pain management prior to joining The Neurology Center. Katie specializes in treating patients with headache disorders. She is a member of the American Headache Society.
Katie enjoys running, hiking, and taking advantage of the beautiful Southern California weather. She also enjoys watching sports, and she is an avid Duke Basketball fan.
