Dr. Choudry grew up in California. He is a board certified member of the American Board of Neurology and Psychiatry. He completed his undergraduate training at UC Davis. This was followed by medical school at the Medical University of Lublin. He then completed his Neurology residency at University of Kentucky where he also served as Chief resident. Subsequently, he did an epilepsy fellowship at Harvard University- Brigham and Women’s Hospital. During this fellowship, he was able to participate in advanced surgical and non-surgical treatment and work up of epileptics under the tutelage of world renowned epileptologists. He also was active in giving presentations in Epilepsy surgical conferences, as well as giving weekly lectures to Harvard medical students introducing them to EEGs and training Harvard residents in interpreting and reporting routine, intracranial and continuous video EEGs.

After his fellowship, he practiced in a hospital employed model in suburbs of both the New Orleans and Louisville areas. This experience allowed him to stratify both knowledge and expertise in treating general neurology patients as well as continuing to use the skills he attained during his epilepsy fellowship by doing prolonged and routine EEG monitoring. He also was able to continue other skills by doing EMG/NCVs, sleep studies and Botox therapy. He was also able to continue to utilize his skills in the outpatient and inpatient settings including treatment and work-up of stroke.

He is an active member of the American Epilepsy Society, American Academy of Neurology, and American Clinical Neurophysiology Society. Dr. Choudry works diligently to be an advocate for his patients. He believes in taking a thorough history, which not only allows him to make a more accurate diagnosis but often can be a cost saving measure for the patient. Dr. Choudry enjoys and holds interests in field hockey, tennis, baseball, travel, exotic cuisine and Sufi meditation.
