Dr. Frishberg is a highly experienced Neurologist who specializes in Neuro-Ophthalmology and Multiple Sclerosis. A graduate of the University of Minnesota Medical School, he was Board Certified in Neurology in 1986. He has been practicing at The Neurology Center of Southern California for the past 20 years.
Dr. Frishberg is an active Clinical Researcher and heads the Clinical Research Center of Southern California where he works on studies of Headache, MS, Alzheimer’s Disease, Parkinson’s Disease, and Myasthenia Gravis. He is also an active teacher and Clinical Professor of Neuroscience at UCSD (Voluntary) and Associate Professor of Neurology and Neuro-Ophthalmology at Touro University Medical School in Las Vegas. He has authored many papers in the area of headache medicine, and lectures nationally about MS.
Dr. Frishberg is a Fellow of the American Academy of Neurology and the North American Neuro-Ophthalmology Society. He is a founding member of the Association of California Neurologists and a member of the American Headache Society, San Diego County Medical Society, AMA and several other professional organizations. He has been honored as a Best Doctor in San Diego, Top Doctors in the US, and other awards.
Dr. Frishberg has a unique style as he is remarkably punctual and efficient and quite frank with patients. He enjoys the intellectual challenges of medicine and eschews inappropriate testing and overmedicating. He makes an instant impression with his bowties and Hawaiian shirts on Fridays!
