Aidanne Angobung was born in Manila, Philippines and moved to San Diego, California at 12 years old with his family. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Public Health from San Diego State University and his Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from California Baptist University, where he served as Class President.
Following his undergraduate studies, Aidanne worked as an Emergency Medical Technician in San Diego, gaining experience on critical care, ECMO, and stroke center transport teams. He later worked as an Emergency Department Technician, where he cared for patients with memory impairment, stroke, altered mental status, and other neurological conditions in a high-acuity setting, further developing his interest in neurology.
His interest in neurology grew through exposure to conditions such as migraines, vertigo, balance disorders, and memory-related conditions. He values taking time to listen to patients and strives to provide thoughtful, patient-centered care that helps individuals better understand their symptoms and treatment options.
Aidanne’s background in public health has shaped his approach to care. He served as a Communicable Disease Investigator for San Diego County during the COVID-19 pandemic and participated in research and volunteer work in India, Peru, and Mexico. These experiences reinforced his commitment to culturally sensitive and equitable healthcare. He is fluent in English, Filipino, Ybanag, and intermediate in Spanish.
Outside of medicine, Aidanne enjoys surfing, learning about different cultures, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
