Dr. Blumenfeld is director of the Headache Center of Southern California.

Dr. Blumenfeld is a member and fellow of the American Academy of Neurology and a member and fellow of the American Headache Society. He is the founding chair for the Interventional Procedures for Headache section for the American Headache Society. He has published widely and has over 70 peer reviewed publications relating to his active research in headache.

Dr. Blumenfeld has been the national lead investigator for many research studies showing that Botulinum toxin type A, sold under the brand name Botox®, is an effective preventative therapy for headache in chronic migraine sufferers. He has treated more patients with Botox therapy than any other provider in the world and has trained thousands of providers on this nationally and internationally.
